Hanana struggled as best she could, but Hanappe was strong. He didn't react to any of her light kicks or punches and just dragged her across the fallen spaceship that was now steadily rising with the help of the flytraps he was growing.
Yukippe was looking out the window and laughing. "Amazing," he said. "You really do have a gift. It's quite useful."
Hanappe shrugged. "I am technically a Venus fly trap, so part of my ease with growing them comes from that."
Hanana squirmed desperately. She was now trying to wriggle free. Yukippe stepped away from the window and strolled over to walk next to Hanappe.
"I would suggest you stop struggling, dear," he said to Hanana. "When a fly struggles in a carnivorous plant, it only traps itself further."
Hanappe approached a dais. There was a large glass tube there. Next to it was what looked like a control panel. Hanappe gave Hanana a rough shove into the tube. Hanana rolled into the opposite glass wall, gaining a few bruises.
She couldn't get up in time to rush the door before it closed. Hanana pushed herself up and slammed her fists on the glass. It did nothing but make an echoing noise and hurt her hands. She shook her fingers out.
She heard a noise above her. It was a mechanical whirring. A mask descended from the ceiling of the tube and latched itself onto her face. For a moment she panicked, clawing at it desperately. Instantly, the tank filled with water and she realized it was only a breathing device. A sweet smelling gasp pumped through the pipe and into her lungs. It made her feel so sleepy that she couldn't help but close her eyes. In mere seconds, she was out cold.

Yukiki didn't like the look of the flytrap forest. The city had become a jungle in such little time. Scowling, he scanned the area. Nothing moved. It was creepy, to say the least.
Yukiki walked between the stalks calmly. They were only plants. It wasn't like they could hurt him. Hanana had grown a small Venus flytrap in her greenhouse at one point and she'd let everyone feed it at one point. Bigger did not equal scarier.
His footsteps echoed in the dead quiet. The place didn't seem too bad really. As long as he kept the spaceship in sight, he could reach it quickly enough to save Hanana.
He was disappointed in himself for letting her get kidnapped in the first place. Whatever anger he felt towards Hanappe and Yukippe paled in comparison to how angry he was with himself. He'd always protected her before and now was an unfortunate slip up.
Something moved behind him. He looked over his shoulder and found the flytraps turning their "heads" towards him. Their mouths opened as they launched themselves at him. He leapt out of the way, letting the flytraps slam into the concrete.
They were quick to rise up again. They tried to get Yukiki again, but this time, he froze them as they attempted to pounce on him. He would have to run now. He took off, racing towards the spaceship.
Before he could get very far, someone jumped in front of him. He dug his heels into the ground and stopped himself. "What are you doing?"
Yukichi dropped his arms. "You can't go alone," he said.
Yukiki glared. "I told you not to get in my way and not to follow me. I said I would punish insubordination." He raised a hand, knowing the Yukichi probably wouldn't be affected too much by the attack, but that wouldn't matter.
Hanachi threw herself in front of Yukichi, her arms spread out. The glow in Yukiki's eyes died. He dropped his hand. He didn't have the heart to hurt her.
"Get out of my way," he said. The flytraps were starting to grow aware of the others. Now they were searching blindly for more prey.
"I know that you love Hanana," Yukichi said. "But you can't fight both Hanappe and Yukippe."
"Love? What gave you that idea?" Yukiki said, flustered by these sudden accusations. "She's…just a friend."
Yukichi smiled, almost sadly. "You're lying to yourself."
Yukiki gritted his teeth. He wished he would stop blushing. "That doesn't matter. Now get out of the way."
Yukichi stepped aside, carefully guiding Hanachi along with him. "We're going to help, Yukiki," he said. "You shouldn't just reject it."
Yukiki ignored him and began to run again, leaving the others far behind him. He had to save Hanana, whatever happened. He wouldn't be able to forgive himself if he didn't.

With Yukiki far away from them, Yukichi sighed. "Well, at least we know what he's trying to do. Let's try and reach the spaceship."
When they'd been splitting up for the second time, Hanako had told them to head straight for the spaceship while the others cleared the flytraps.
"You're letting the weed take care of that?" Hanasama had said, incredulously.
"Think of it this way," Hanako said. "If she was helping clear the flytraps, then we would have to be near her."
"You're right," Hanasama said. "I mean, who could stand to hang around her for that long."
Yukichi, unable to stand it anymore said, "Stop it. She has ears, you know."
Hanasama looked surprised. "She never reacts to it. If it bothered her, she would have said something by now."
Yukichi glared, which was fairly out of character for him, but he had a good reason. "Even if that is true, no one is allowed to be cruel to someone else."
Now, out in among the flytraps, Yukichi and Hanachi navigated carefully through the plants. As long as they didn't provoke the flytraps, they didn't attack. It was almost peaceful out there.
When they had gotten closer to the spaceship, Hanachi started to cry. Tears poured down her face. She was actually sobbing.
"What's wrong?" Yukichi asked, putting his hands on her shoulders.
"They think I don't have feelings," she sobbed out. She was coughing and hiccupping.
Yukichi pulled her into his arms and hugged her. "There, there," he murmured, stroking her hair. "They're just mean and what they say isn't true obviously. I like you. Shush now. It's alright."
The flytraps were starting to hear the Hanachi crying (somehow) and they were turning their "heads" this way and that, searching for the source.
Hanachi wiped her tears away and said, "I'm better."
"Good," Yukichi said. He gave her a kiss on her forehead, which caused her to blush. "We have to hurry."
Hanachi nodded and they picked up the pace, running. They reached the base of the thickest vine, where the spaceship was balanced.
"I think I have enough energy to get us up there," Yukichi said, holding onto Hanachi's arm. He allowed himself to dissolve into wind and he carried himself and Hanachi up to spaceship itself.
Now for something completely different :iconjohncleeseplz:
I just wrote one of the saddest little oneshots I've ever written (with an uplifting ending) and I JUST CAN"T UNDERSTAND WHY I KEEP WRITING DEPRESSING CRAP. Now I don't know if I should post it (after some editing) or not.
Anyway, enjoy this fan fiction and perhaps a lighter one which I've been working on (and might never post).
